This is a Helle Special version of the Harding with a centrepiece consisting of stacked birch bark. Stacked Birch Bark has a long legacy as a handle material in custom made Scandinavian knives. The material is grippy, water-repellant and has anti-bacterial qualities. Only available in very limited quantities. Comes with a brown leather sheath.
About the Harding:
Helle Harding is by many considered to be the no.1 among the Helle classics. True to its Norwegian heritage, this knife has accompanied many of our fans' adventures all over the world.
The beautiful, warm handle is made from curly birch and darkened oak. Blocks of wood that is separated by layers of colored leather. The handle has then been hand sanded to its barrel shape and polished by hand to a masterpiece.
The full-length stick tang blade is made of triple laminated stainless steel. Sharpened with a traditional scandi grind and hand polished to a razor-sharp edge.
The Harding comes with a beautiful and classic sheath of high-quality leather. * Left-handed sheath available (place comment in order notes).

All knives are shipped with a DHL tracking number. Once the parcel has been picked up from Helle, it can be traced all the way to delivery.

The Harding is a nearly ideal knife anyway, perfectly balanced, very light and nimble, safe and comfortable in any grip.
Birch bark is quite commonly used for handles here in Finland, and has long been a favorite, pleasant to touch/hold, while offering a very secure grip in any kind of weather and temperature.
The Harding with birch bark in the palm swell is as good a knife as you can find for every day use in nature (so long as you are immune to absurd “knife testing” videos on YouTube, and stick to using a knife for a knife, not an axe or a crowbar).
